The Smoke Hollow 44241G2 produces some of the best BBQ we have eaten. We had a mate who had one, so we borrowed it and gave it a test.
Straight away we could tell it was built from high-quality materials. When you shut the front door, you can feel that it is air tight. Perfect for holding high temperatures.
It has some serious cooking space, we were able to get 4 racks of ribs in it. Perfect for when the neighbors came over for a cookout that night.
Another bonus of this unit is that is can be converted into a natural gas smoker.
You might notice 44241G2 is similar to the Smoke Hollow 44 Pro Series. The Smoke Hollow 44 pro series LP has a letter W in the end. That means this model has a window on the door.
The last number on the Smoke Hollow 44241G2 is two, which stands for the number of doors that smoker has.
Enough of the letters and numbers! Let’s get into the nuts and bolts of how it performed.

What We Liked!
- Huge cooking area with over 7 cubic feet of cooking capacity.
- Durable steel built.
- Double-door mechanism to prevent heat loss.
- Maintains the moisture in food and cooks evenly.
- 721 square inches of the cooking area, you can cook for a large number of people.
What We Didn’t Like
- You might need someone to help you move it as it can be quite heavy for one person.
- You can lose some heat with the standard door seals. Though it can easily be overcome by including some sealing element in the gap of the door.
