Easy Grill Glazed Spiral Ham

This ham makes a delicious and impressive centerpiece for holidays, family dinners, or any special gathering. The recipe strikes the perfect balance between simplicity and bold flavor, making it ideal for Easter, Christmas, or even a summer cookout.

The brown sugar glaze caramelizes beautifully on the grill, creating a deliciously crispy outer layer that contrasts perfectly with the juicy, tender meat inside. The spiral cutting ensures even cooking throughout, keeping every slice moist and flavorful.

Best of all, the spiral cut makes carving effortless, so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying your guests.

How to Grill Spiral Ham

Step 1: Make The Glaze!

Firstly, position the ham flat side down in disposable aluminum pans to prepare it for grilling.

Mix all the ingredients except for the ham in a medium-sized bowl. Next, use a brush or spoon to glaze between each slice of the ham and around its outer surface.

Step 2: Preheat Your Grill

Prepare the grill for indirect or two-zone grilling, with coals and smoke wood on one side and no heat on the other. Aim for a grill temperature of 325°F.

Step 3: Grill

Position the aluminum pan over the side of the grill with no coals. Cook for approximately 12-13 minutes per pound until the internal temperature reaches 140°F-150°F. Brush or baste the exterior of the ham every 20-30 minutes during cooking.

Step 4: Let It Rest

When the ham’s internal temperature reaches 140°F, remove it from the grill and rest for 10 minutes before serving.

How To Store Leftovers

You may have leftovers; either wrap them in aluminum foil or a sealable container and put it in the fridge. You can use the ham to make some weeknight dinners on sandwiches or salads, heat it up and eat it for up to 3 days.
