These brownies are gooey, chocolatey and have a hint of smokiness flavor, they are cooked on the grill and the perfect dessert for summer cookouts or when you want a sweet dessert.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups 400 g castor sugar
  • 225 g unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup 60 g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • cups 225 g plain flour
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • Pinch fine sea salt
  • 1 cup 175 g chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 cup 100 g chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Set up a grill for indirect cooking at 350–400°F (180–200°C).
  • Line a rectangular steel or disposable aluminum baking pan (approximately 13 x 9 inches or 33 x 23 cm) with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar, mixing well. Add the cocoa powder and stir until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt, folding them into the mixture. If using, fold in the chocolate chips and nuts last.
  • Pour the brownie mixture into the lined baking pan. Place it on the grill and cook for about 25 minutes, until the mixture is just set.
  • Allow to cool, slice and serve
