Equipment

  • Pellet smoker

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ball pizza dough
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. cornmeal/flour
  • 14 oz. pizza sauce of choice
  • 8 oz. mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of choice

Instructions
 

Step 1 - Preheat the Grill

  • Pre-heat the grill to 500°F.
  • Make sure the pellet grill grates are clean.

Step 2 - Prepare the Base

  • Stretch the dough out with your hands, to the desired size.
  • Try to keep the thickness even.
  • Dust lightly with cornflour to prevent it from sticking to the grill.

Step 3 - Pre-cook the Base

  • Place on the grill for 5-10 minutes, to cook one side.

Step 4 - Place the Toppings on the Base

  • Remove and turn over, so the grilled side is face up, raw side to the bottom.
  • Cover the pizza with sauce and toppings.
  • Top with cheese.

Step 5 - Cook the Pizza

  • Place the pizza back on the heated grill grates and close the lid.
  • Leave for 10-15 minutes.
  • Lift the base and check every few minutes to ensure the pizza crust isn't burning.

Step 6 - Remove and Serve

  • Once cooked, remove the pizza from the grill.
  • Slice and serve - enjoy!
