Cheese Ball Base:
- 16 oz cream cheese softened
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp fresh chives finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
Coating:
- 1 bag 9.25 oz Nacho Cheese Doritos, crushed
- 1 tbsp fresh chives for garnish (optional)
In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Add shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne, Worcestershire sauce, chives, salt, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up the mixture.
Place crushed Doritos in a shallow bowl or plate.
Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop out portions of the cheese mixture and roll into 1-inch balls, then immediately roll each ball in the crushed Doritos, pressing gently to coat all sides.
Place on a lined baking sheet and refrigerate for another 30 minutes before serving.
Garnish with extra chives and serve with toothpicks.
