Ingredients

  • 2 pounds 80/20 ground beef cold
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 Hamburger buns

Instructions

  • Combine Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, garlic, minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, BBQ sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to distribute the seasonings evenly without overworking the meat.
  • Shape Patties: Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion into a loose ball and then flatten it into a 1-inch patty, pressing a small dimple in the center.
  • Chill Patties: Place the shaped patties on a tray lined with wax paper or parchment paper. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Grill: Heat your grill to 400 degrees. Place the chilled patties onto direct heat and grill for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  • Add Cheese: If desired, add cheese to the burgers during the last minute of cooking and let it melt.
  • Serve: Serve the burgers on toasted hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
