BBQ Meatballs

Sharing is caring!

These BBQ meatballs are juicy, moist, and saucy, perfect for a tasty but quick meal. They are perfect for a backyard BBQ, a cookout, a weeknight dinner, Game day snacks, or a part of a holiday buffet.

Homemade meatballs can be cooked in the oven or on the grill; they always come out tender and moist. Then they are covered in a store brought BBQ sauce for a super but impressive dish that always gets rave reviews from all my guests,

BBQ Meatballs

You’ll be a huge fan of these meatballs. They are juicy, flavorful, and topped with caramelized BBQ sauce.

You can also use them as they are, but they are great in many other recipes, like meatball subs, pasta, and lasagna or marinara sauce topped with parmesan and mozzarella.

They’re also the perfect balance of sweet and savory, perfect to satisfy both adults and kids.

What You’ll Need

  • Ground Beef
  • Ground Pork
  • Bread Crumbs
  • Eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic
  • BBQ Sauce

How to Make BBQ Meatballs

1: Prepare

Add the bread crumbs, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and egg to a bowl. Mix until the mixture is consistent with wet sand, then set it for 5 minutes. Next, add the ground pork and ground beef and mix thoroughly.

Add another egg if the meatballs are too dry and more bread crumbs if they are too wet. Next, form the ground meat into 3-4 oz meatballs. Place all the meatballs in the fridge to set for 30 minutes.

2: Bake

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Place the meatballs on the grills and cook for 10 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven, flip all the meatballs, and brush with the BBQ sauce. Rotate the sheet tray and cook until golden and cooked, about 10 minutes, or until they reach 165°F.

Remove the tray from the oven, brush the meatballs with BBQ sauce, and serve.

Storing Leftovers

These BBQ meatballs can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or frozen for longer in a freezer-proof container.
